Why do I recommend this product?
Because I want my patients to avoid sun tanning and UV radiation as much as possible. I do have a lot of patients who choose to tan and their skin is suffering because of this decision. Over time, this will lead to increase wrinkles, spots and droopy skin.
Tanning is bad for you and in the long run it will show!
Tantasia™ works differently. It has Acetyl Tyrosine and Monk’s Pepper. These two ingredients stimulate melanin synthesis (the natural pigment in your skin), allowing the shade to mimic your natural tanned color. The Ear and your Facelift Incisions.
Scottsdale – Understanding the anatomy of the ear is important for anybody considering facelift surgery.
The human ear becomes important in several facial plastic surgery operations because the incisions for facelift, go around the ear. In fact, by using the ear landmarks, a plastic surgeon can effectively camouflage the incisions, so they become hardly noticeable. A facelift is a very special plastic surgery operation, where patients desire natural looking results and hardly noticeable incisions.
Let’s learn about human ear anatomy!
In the Diagram: The Ear and your Facelift Incisions, we see the model’s ear strategically colored to demonstrate the points. The green color is over the Helix of the ear. The pink color is demonstrating the anti helix. Please not that the bottom of the antihelix, is often times referred as the anti tragus.
We also see the lobule colored in yellow. The lobule is very important for facial rejuvenation surgery. We make a very special effort to restore the normal anatomy of the ear lobule, in order to camouflage the fact that a cosmetic surgery patient has had a facelift.
In the top front of the ear (colored in white), we see the root. The root attaches to the face and transitions nicely to become the helix of the ear. The root is another critical portion of the design of any facial plastic surgery.
The concha or bowl of the ear is colored in gray. The concha is variable in size and depth and may be enlarged or prominent in the prominent ear. We also see the tragus colored in blue. When a cosmetic surgeon plans a facelift or neck lift operation, he has to carefully consider the tragus. The incision can go on the tragus itself or in front of the tragus. The jowls continue to sag, leading to a double chin. The turning down of the corners of the mouth, the formation of deep folds and wrinkles around the mouth coalesce, resulting in an aged facial appearance.

In my practice, the highest priority is given to restoration of the sagging facial tissue into the normal, youthful anatomic position. This means the surgeon has to manipulate the tissue and pull in a superior direction, and not simply backwards.
We must understand that with aging the face falls down due to gravity. Pulling the saggy face in the correct upward direction typically results in a very natural and youthful appearance.

Neck Lift Before After Photo, Actual Patient
Scottsdale – A neck lift or platysmaplasty is the ideal procedure for rejuvenation of the neck. A neck lift can be part of a facelift in Scottsdale procedure, as recommended for your situation, or may be carried out alone or with liposuction of the neck.
The operation begins with a small incision under your chin and those in front of and behind the ears. The incision is carried into the hairy scalp towards the back of the neck. The incisions allow access to the paired platysma muscles and the fat layer of the neck.
The neck muscles are tightened and any excess fat removed or contoured. The neck muscles are tightened in the front and the back, effectively creating a supportive sling that holds up the neck tissue in a more youthful position.
The fat may be reduced with lipo or by direct removal. Once the muscles are tightened and the fat contoured, the skin is redraped over the neck and lower face. Any excess skin is gently removed and the incisions are closed with sutures.
A special compression bandage that you will have to wear to help reduce post-operative swelling is applied. This is usually worn night and day for at least 5 days and then only at night for a longer period of time. It is important for you to follow instructions in order to optimize a proper recovery.
