Aldo B. Guerra, MD, FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon practicing in Arizona. He specializes in cosmetic plastic surgery of the breast, body and face. He started his training in plastic surgery by attending the University of California, San Diego Medical School in La Jolla, California. He then entered general surgery program at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. He pursued specialized plastic surgery training at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
After finishing his training in plastic surgery, Dr. Aldo practiced for 6 years in the gulf coast, having multiple plastic surgery offices in Louisiana and Alabama. Dr. Aldo Guerra trained specifically and extensively for a career in plastic surgery becoming board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2003. Phoenix – The AB Guerra Plastic Surgery Center was in attendance at the Arizona’s Ultimate Women’s Expo in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The expo was held at the Phoenix Convention Center on April 30th to May 1st, 2011. The 2011 keynote speakers were Patricia Heaton, Susan Lucci and Ricki Lake. It was a pleasure meeting the women in attendance and we hope that we helped answer some questions about plastic surgery in Arizona.
Patient safety is our top priority in plastic surgery.
We educated and discussed some of our recommendations for potential patients looking to do cosmetic plastic surgery in the future. Here is a list of some of our top recommendations:
- Choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
- Make sure the surgery is performed at an accredited surgical facility.

What do you need to know before choosing you plastic surgeon?
One of the most important aspects of proceeding with cosmetic plastic surgery is choosing a plastic surgeon. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has some great information on helping patients find the right plastic surgeon. We highly recommend patients get two or three consultations with Board Certified Plastic Surgeons before the make a decision. All ASPS Member Surgeons are required to be board certified in plastic surgery. The ASPS website has a directory where you can find a surgeon close to where you live.
